I still can't believe Rachel won. Yes, she's a nice girl ~ but the winner? Not at all sure that was right but clearly she was very popular with the voters so fairs fair.

One thing I was happy to see was the way Darnell handled it all ~ he said that he had never felt as loved in his life and I am sure that when he reads the things on the internet written by those of us who loved him in the house, he will realise many people love him.

Someone waiting outside the BB house studios (Elstree) has reported that the crowds and bouncers are getting very aggitated! And it's only after 3pm! Feelings are running very high for this final eviction night.

But the good news, for Darnellites, is that he is now running neck and neck with Mikey for the BB9 winner's crown.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

So today sees the end of life as we've known it for over 13 weeks. It is strange to think that after tonight we won't have to panic about catching the highlights programme, or seeing live feed, or any of the spin off BB programmes. Are we that will miss it sad or mad? Or maybe both! Who cares, lots of us have had good fun watching the hms come and go all summer and many of will miss at least some of the hms.

Of course within weeks most of us will have moved on and all but forgotten the majority of them. With the exception of our favourites no doubt. I think for me, Darnell will always be the best hm ever. I have really enjoyed him from about the second week onwards. Yes, he has his ups and downs ~ but he's human so why wouldn't he? But his intelligence and gentle understanding of others and his refusal to let people behave in a cruel way is what makes him so special.

I really hope Darnell leaves the BB house tonight as the winner, but even if he is not the actual winner of BB9, he will always be a winner to many of us.

So, who will win?

The bookies favourite is between Mikey and Rachel but this will fluctuate madly all day today I think. Many Mo fans are now backing Darnell which will do him nothing but good. I really can't see how Rachel can win. Yes, she is a nice girl but boy has she become tedious. Her babying of Mikey is driving lots of us mad! And I can't see how it is possible that Rachel could be more popular than ANY of the remaining hms.

Rex will more than likely leave in the last three and possibly one of the last two. For the most part I have enjoyed his wittiness, although the Rex we watched when Nicole was in the house was not a winner. Still, he has redeemed himself somewhat and can shine at times. Rex fans will mostly pass their votes to Darnell if Rex is evicted before him which is great for Darnell of course. Darnell fans will do likewise and pass their votes mostly to Rex. Their genuine friendship will benefit them both in ways they don't even realise!

Mikey has been funny at times and I would like to see him in the last 3 but the winner? No, not for me. He has been better since Mario and Lisa are no longer spewing spite into his ear, but that time spent with them put a lot of us off him. But you have to hand it to Mikey, he has no bones about shouting down louder hms such as Rex.

Sara should most definately not win. I'm put off by the way she wheelded around the male hms since she came into the house and her constant loving/hating Darnell thing wore very thin. She is all over him again like some toxic rash, knowing as she does that he was very popular as she entered the house weeks after the originals. Yes, she seems fun and a bit crazy but that does not make her the winner imo.

So, we BB addicts will spend today hoping (and voting for those in the UK) that our favourite in the final 5 will sail into the winner's enclosure tonight. Darnell for me.

Someone at the live eviction has texted to say Mo is indeed the first hm who will be evicted tonight (there's a 15 minute time lapse in what we see on tv and what's happening live). I know most people knew he would be, but it's a great pity all the same.

TONIGHT'S EVICTION

I don't like what I'm hearing about tonight's eviction. Apparently BB are to give the hms a party where they will dress up like each other. That means that Mo, who is most likely to be leaving tonight, will exit the house dressed as a woman. If that is the case, then that is just low and dirty BB.

What else could we expect really? Davina, the BBLB presenters and the BBBM presenters have all been quite nasty about Mo all the way through. The camera people often focus on his belly, further pushing the Greedy Mo tag which has dogged Mo almost since the begining.

And now to publicly humiliate him in this way tonight is just downright nasty.

I really hope that fate plays Mo a kind hand and that he achieves lots of success from his stint on BB9.

UPDATE ON TUESDAY'S EVICTION

The first hm will be told at the end of the highlights show at around 8.50 pm (the show starts an hour earlier than usual at 8pm). The hm will be told that they poled lowest in the vote to save and that they have an hour to pack and say their goodbyes.

I think this first person will be Mo and the very fact of the surprise eviction will throw the hms into turmoil.

The second hm to be evicted will be told after the first hms interview with Davina and that they have 30 seconds to say their goodbyes. This more than likely will be Kat and that will send the other hms into a total tailspin as they all fully expect Kat to win.

But if it runs as above all the hms will be well shaken and we might see some interesting reactions and maybe some paranoia that others will be going too.

The worst of it is that we will lose Mo and I would have really like to see him in the final.

HMS ~ MONDAY 1 SEPT 2008

DARNELL
He is still my favourite and the only one in there with a deep understanding of what is actually going on in that enclosed environment. He sees so much and is adept at assessing situations very quickly. He never holds back in his opinion when asked, and indeed at times, when not asked. I am cross with him though for being so absolutely stupid where Sara is concerned. She plays him like a fool and Darnell, for all his intelligence falls for it every time.

Or does he? It confuses me somewhat. He does seem to have her measure, then she gives him attention and he is like a love sick puppy. But maybe he is just taking comfort where he can? I hope the latter.

His chances of actually winning are slimmer now after he fought with Sara last week but I am still hopeful that the many Darnellites out there will pull together with one massive voting exercise and stand proudly to cheer our winner. Hope springs eternal ...

KAT
Kat has shown an extremely controlling side to her personality this week. When the hms had to nominate infront of each other, Rachel voted for Rex and this seemed to really annoy Kat. Rachel was annoying with her silly apologies and only made the whole thing look even worse, if that were possible. I still think she has qualities that would make her a friend in need, but I fear that she might quickly become cold to a friend if the friend decided not to take her advice. She has the persona and indeed looks of a cute baby doll type human but beneath all the cuteness lies a backbone of solid steel.

MIKEY
I've gone from seriously disliking Mikey to actually hoping he is second or third in the final. He is astute and will launch into his opinion, no holds barred, when pushed to so do. My only worry about Mikey is his choice of friends ~ Mario and Lisa.

I love the way he just throws out what he is thinking and makes no bones about disliking Rex, although his dislike of Rex is sometimes a bit over the top. But at least with the Mikey now, as opposed to an earlier Mikey when he was simply the person who spoke Mario's thoughts, he is at times funny to listen to.

MO
I feel rather sorry for Mo. I like him and don't see that he has done much to deserve the put downs and name calling he is receiving in media, Ch4 BB programmes and forums around the net. So he eats a lot ~ many young (and not so young) men like their food. But he is obviously well brought up and close to his family ~ he said he would buy his mum a house if he won and I'm sure, that though he will more than likely not win, he will take care of his mum financially with whatever earnings he manages to make out of his time in the BB house. I wish him well and I am just sorry that people didn't look further and see that he is a nice and decent person.

RACHEL
Oh dear, Rachel is slipping down my people to like list faster than any other hm. She is driving me (and many others) absolutely nuts with her constant baby talk and stupid act. Getting oneself into a froth of excitement over beans and grated cheese or a bunch of grapes is just a step too far imo. I know she is probably a very nice person and also genuine in her niceness but she really needs to borrow a bit of her best friend, Kat's, backbone. Her behaviour when nominating in front of the fellow hms was cringeworthy. She must have said sorry about 10 times. For goodness sake grow up girl!

And the worst of it all ~ she is now one of the hot favourites to win. Why?

REX
He was the most annoying PRAT during the time Nicole was in the house and there were times I absolutely loathed him. But when he is just Rex, he can be witty, entertaining and very funny. Yes, he can be rather sarcastic but his wit, though acebric at times, is imo very funny. His friendship with Darnell seems to be real and I think Darnell is actually the only one in the house he has respect for. He knows Darnell would not take his crap and acts accordingly. I found both Rex and Mo very funny during the public nominations last week ~ they were like naughty school boys and clearly really enjoyed themselves.

Much and all as I like him, I'm not sure I want to see the media hinted programme with him, Nicole and Rex's dad doing an Osbournes type show.

SARA
I like Sara sometimes but she can be so annoying with her constant AMAAAAAAAAZING yelling. Everything is flipping AMAAAAAAAAZING with Sara. Her choice of best friend (Lisa) is also slightly dodgy.

I think Sara might have some deep rooted problems. Her constant act of getting close to everyone, acting like a little cutie, smiling and flirting, while at the same time being able to drop them at a moment's notice (save Lisa) is strange. She is probably basically a nice person but I think she might be difficult to be friends with because of her neediness.

It looks like she will make it to the final 5.

The voting lines are now open for viewers to vote to SAVE their favourtite housemates. This will have an evil twist for the hms who have moved into a comfort zone where they think they are all on the home run to the final. The hms who have polled lowest in this vote to SAVE, will be evicted, much to their surprise (and no doubt, horror) on Tuesday.

I think we will be waving goodbye to Mo for definate and probably Kat. Losing Kat will be a major shock to the remaining hms as they seem to be under the constant impression that Kat will win. She was my favourite for the first week or so but then moved into 2nd place with me and since then I have fluctuated between wanting her in the final and not really caring. She was a good hm but this happy, happy house malarky could get a tad grating. Still, I feel sorry to see her being evicted so close to the final.

So, Lisa and Sara are in a face off tonight. I had thought Sara was a cert to go but it seems it is not so clear cut. Polls on the internet give percentages along the lines of Lisa 60+ % and Sara 30+%.

THE WIZARD OF OZ?

What is BB doing? In last weeks shopping the special items were: a heart, a brain, a can of beer marked 'Courage' and a red shoe. So, that brings the first Wizard of Oz connection.

And now the shopping task this week has the hms having to learn the dance to Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. Michael Jackson and Diana Ross appeared in the musical version of the Wizard of Oz, the Wiz.

EVICTION: FRIDAY 22 AUGUST

I was nearly right with my guess of the hms facing the public vote, got the 3 females right but Mikey is not up so I was wrong there.

So, who will we see go on Friday? Nicole of course, almost 100% definately. It would be a great chance to get Lisa out but I reckon the voters will go for Nicole as she really has not endeared herself to many of the viewers. Rex is saying he is not happy that she is up but I think the man doth protest too much and he will be glad to see the back of her out of the house so leaving him free to do his best to win. I thought it was rather silly his saying that he would not be speaking to those who nominated Nicole once he got out of the house and discovered who nominated her. This is a ridiculous attitude given that a fundamental rule of BB is that they hms MUST nominate 2 people each week. The hms were obviously going to go for the newest (and most spoilt) hm ~ Nicole.

Nicole will be expecting Rex to walk with her if she is evicted but I can't see this happening and I think Nicole must know this. The chance of Nicole walking before Friday is very high ~ she's not stupid and knows she is the one who will go. I guess we will wait and see.

Nominations day rolls around once again. Rex, being hoh is immune. You would think at this stage with so few hms (9), guessing who will vote for whom would get easier but I'm not so sure. Anyway, this is my effort for this week.

DARNELL: Lisa & Nicole (but could be Lisa and Sara)
KAT: Lisa & Nicole
LISA: Darnell & Kat (but it could be Kat and Rachel)
MIKEY: Nicole & Mo
MO: Nicole & Mikey

REX: Mikey & Lisa (although he may nominate Nicole in place of Lisa or it could be Mikey and Rachel).

If that were the case, of course Nicole would go but BB know this and may make it a double eviction which would probably see Nicole and Lisa going.

THE KING & HIS PRINCESS

Every day, without fail, and sometimes many times a day, Rex and his 'princess', Nicole fight. It all seems to stem from articles about Rex's escapades in Las Vegas which appeared in a red top paper. Nicole hasn't been able to say it to him because hms are not allowed to know what is going on in the outside world. At this stage though she has more or less spelled it out to him with her heavier and heavier hints. I think Rex now knows for certain what she is hinting at but then there is the other story which appeared in the press about Rex and his friendship with another girl in America. So it could be either of those and Rex being smart, will have to hedge his bets and say nothing until he knows for sure which story Nicole has.

But the constant (noisy) kissing, inevitably followed by (noisy) fighting is getting rather wearing and perhaps Nicole should indeed walk as she has threatened to do about 1,000,000 in the past fortnight.

Last night, Sunday, they slept not only in separate beds, but in separate rooms with Rex in bblock with Darnell, Kat and Rachel and Nicole in the luxury bedroom. They did go to bed together but once again a fight got up and Rex got out of bed and went off to the living room to moan to his fellow hms about Nicole. This moaning continued when they went to bed in bblock but Rex indicated that he would go back into Nicole's bed before she awakened in the morning. He did, in the early hours, go back to her bed but it seems trouble is off again this morning with Nicole moaning to Lisa (of all people!) and Mikey in the luxury bedroom (after Rex had brought her breakfast in bed on a tray with a flower on it). Silly, silly Nicole. Giving Lisa any fuel to burn about Rex when she already detests him.

Of course Rex is in the kitchen, still cooking and still moaning about Nicole.

KING REX

Rex is the new head of house and I'm sure Rex considers this position should have been his all along. I wonder what the week will bring with Rex as hoh. Probably a lot of fun in fairness. Although I imagine Lisa is not one bit happy about this but she had her chance to become hoh in the task too.

The task for hoh involved the eligible hms (Kat, Lisa, Mo, Nicole, Sara and Rex) dressing like famous statues and posing. The person who held the pose longest, won. And Rex, being one of the biggest posers, won. Only fitting really.

Of course, as hoh, Rex is immune from nominations this week and, all things being equal and BB not coming up with any twists, this means he now sails through to the final.

MOST MORTIFIYING EVICTION EVER?

Stuart, for some reason known only to himself, decided he would leap of the stage and crowd surf. Unfortunately you need:

a. To be a rock band member, playing to a rock fans who will be expecting such a leap.

b. Have a mosh pit to dive into where the crowd are so tightly squashed in they can't move.

Stuart had neither.

The crowd parted and Stuart landed with a splat.

The shame. Forever more he will be remembered as the hm who went splat.

So with 59% of the vote we bid goodbye (and some us good ridance too) to the lady man that was Stuart.

I wonder if the penny will now drop with Lisa that all her gang, bar Mikey, are now gone? And more pertinantly, why. Because, Lisa, they were not nice and not popular with the public. With luck, her days are now numbered in the house and she can go and join her useless hunk, Mario/Shaun/Tango Man/Facilitator.

Or we might just see Lisa try to do a massive turn, cease bitching and try to be nice to people and behind their back too. But I doubt it.

EVICTION NIGHT ~ 15TH AUGUST

In the house just now (7.30pm), Rachel is already all dressed and ready to go should she be evicted tonight.

Stuart, on the other hand has been getting ready all day. He has been massaged by Sara, who also plucked his eyebrows. Lisa has now painted his nails and is now applying his eyeliner.

At this rate he'll still be looking for his flipping lip gloss when Davina says 'Stuart! I'm coming to get you!'.

This Friday, 15th August will see Rachel and Stuart facing the public vote. What a disappointment that it is only the two. I had thought the voting would have been more diverse and thrown up four hms to face the vote.

That is about the third of fourth week running that Sara has nominated Mo & Rachel. Boy, she really dislikes those two, although you would never guess - she came directly out of the diary room after nominating to chat so nicely to Rachel.

Kat is absolutely furious at her very best friend being up on Friday and is very cross that so many must have nominated her. Rachel is taking it okay. They had a really lovely moment in the garden where they hugged for ages and Kat was very upset and then so too was Rachel and they cried for a bit. Silly, I know. No-one is about to be executed or anything but they are obviously upset at the thought of being parted. I think these two will be friends for life.

I think Kat is weeping in vain though, Stuart will more than likely be the one to go. And rightly so. No matter how boring Rachel can be from time to time with her chin up, jolly hockey sticks, girly baby talk, she is at least a decent person. Stuart is a trouble causing waste of space who has been falsley crying about missing his daughter for years now. Sorry, weeks. It just seems like years.

So, who will be facing the public vote this week? Will there be a double eviction? Will BB allow all the hms to nominate? Lots of questions. But if BB allows them all to nominate and after much tooing and froing, I think the nominations will go like this:

If that were the case it will probably be Nicole to go, but Rex has endangered himself and is vulnerable this week. Lisa being up will give a lot of people a chance to vote her out for the first time (after week 1 that is) and that could see the end of Lisa in the house. In my opinion, Rachel is the only one of those four who would be safe this week.

But we will have to wait until we get BB insider info or confirmation tomorrow on BBLB.

HMS ~ Monday 11 August

Evicted, Friday 8th August. Good.

DARNELL
Darnell is so full of angst and pain and insecurities, but he is also intelligent and has his finger on the pulse of what is going on in the house. He is so loveable and engenders both a need to protect in many of us and a knowledge that he would be an A1 protector. He has very low self esteem and I sincerely hope that when he leaves the house, hopefully as the winner, he will realise he is such a worthy person and that knowledge will help him to feel much better.

This week he was once again lead on by Sara and stupidly fell for the sweet talk. He ended up following her around like a love sick puppy for a time. And then during a late night session of Rex pushing peoples' buttons in the luxury bedroom (while the divide was still up) Rex said to Sara to sleep in Darnell's bed to which she replied 'no, he would try to have sex with me'. Darnell was absolutely outraged at this and at last saw the underbelly of Sara. He was so insulted and hurt and made it known. Sara then denied she had said this, even though Stuart, Rex, Mo and Darnell all heard her and she eventually had to say she might have said it but she didn't mean it. Too late, Darnell was not for turning. And that's the thing about Darnell, he is honourable and though of course he fancied Sara, he would not want her to think that he would take advantage of her (or anyone).

KAT
Another week, another doubt. I so want to like Kat as I did in the earlier days but sometimes I wonder if she is indeed the Kat we see. Yes, she continues to talk sense to her friends and support them at all times but there is a niggle with me that she is actually quite mercenary. I hope I am wrong and she is just being transparent in her desire to be in the final.

She had the most dreadful week as a hell hm this week. Her hell hms were Mikey and Nicole and as hell hms have to do all the cooking and cleaning this meant that Kat carried the can for the week and as a result at the end of the week, ended up looking wane and not at all her former chirpy self. Mikey being blind, tried his best to help with duties but obviously some jobs are beyond him and even those he does, he doesn't do very well. This is not laziness but rather that he is unable to do certain things. Nicole on the other hand, though well able really did not want to be bothered with any cleaning or cooking, fully supported by Rex. Had I been Kat, I would have thrown the towel in and taken to my bed with the sore knee she had and left the whole lot to look after themselves. But in fairness to Kat she soldiered on and did the best she could. I suppose it is understandable that her best friend and hoh, Rachel, passed hell on the cake making task to allow Kat to get out of the kitchen and flower again.

LISA
Give Lisa an inch and she is off in full bitch mode again. She is a very bitter woman and starts the back biting in such a sneaky way. She will comment on some hm in such a way that can't be taken as a slight if the person to whom she is speaking does not take it as such, but if a hm has a gripe agains the person mentioned and happens to say something detrimental about said person, then Lisa's floodgates of bile spill forth. You try to cut Lisa some slack but time after time she reverts to form and shows that she wants nothing more than a good bitch practically about anyone.

She is just like her 'boyfriend' Mario too, she has done everything and is talented at everything ~ in her mind. The truth, just like Mario, is that she is basically crap at everything, save exercising. They are well matched and if Mario does propose as he has been trumpeting about any magazine or paper that will listen to him, then they will make a perfect couple and are well matched. They even look like a female and male version of some a plastic fantastic couple invented by some crazed body builder on anabolic steroids.

MIKEY
Mikey has gone up a bit in my estimation. He can be funny and he can cut through crap that is thrown at him and certainly since he came out from the shadow of Mario, he has come into his own. But the one thing that throws Mikey back to the bottom is his willingness to be sucked into Lisa's theories on hms and her backbiting, and he shows himself to be a willing and very able partner to these sessions it must be said. Mikey could be so much better if he could move on from this.

He doesn't put up with any carry on and is not afraid to speak out, Friday night, eviction night being a perfect example. Lisa was doing Nicole's hair over the barrier. Kat had peeled and mashed the spuds and put on the sausages for the hms dinner and then dashed off to wash and change before the evictions show. Mikey therefore was left in the kitchen trying to keep an eye on everything. He was giving the potatoes another mash and called to Nicole to come and check the sausauges (because obviously MIkey could not see if they were burning). Nicole said 'can't, getting my hair done, bring the pan over to me'. Bring the pan of boiling oil with sausages over to her? Asking a blind man to carry a pan of hot fat across a floor where he couldn't see any obstacles? Mikey rounded on her saying: bring them over to you! Get up of your arse and come and check them! (or words to that effect). Rex was most annoyed at MIkey speaking to his little princess in such a way but Mikey could have cared less. And fair play to him.

Mikey is the new head of house and absolutely relishing the power. He is very bossy and very verbal (at high volume) and as a result his week as hoh should be interesting and throw up some funny moments I think. If he would just stay away from Lisa and let his star shine. Mikey is favourite to win at the moment.

MO
Poor Mo really is getting a rough deal both in the house and as he is portrayed in the highlights programme each night. If you watch Mo on live feed he can be very funny, for instance this week before he got his suitcase back, he asked BB for sandals and socks as he considered it unhygenic to walk about the house and garden in his bare feet. BB asked what he would swap for these and he gave some belts and a pair of his underpants. Later, Mo was called to the diary room to collect his socks and sandals and BB presented him with a cute pair of pink socks (he had actually jokingly asked for baby pink when BB had enquired what colour) and a pair of ladies wedge healed silver sandals. BB told him he must wear them at all times and he took it in good part and watching him staggering around the house in his silver wedges was very funny.

NICOLE
Oh dear, what a spoilt little princess Nicole is showing herself to be. On one level I think she does want to throw herself into the house and house activities but on the other she is very lazy and does not want to do anything getting anywhere near work. In this she is ably supported by Rex who treats her as if she should be on a pedestal. She can be so sweet at times but then reverts to her petulant self if asked to do anything. Which is a pity because if she would just apply herself more I think she would be a popular hm.

RACHEL
Rachel is wearing me out. Her constant frown alternated with her twinkling dewy eyes look is driving me mad. She is such a worry wart and I can't believe this girl is going to take on the job of teaching secondary school children. They will tear her apart if she doesn't harden up a little. Yes, she can harden up if someone attacks Kat or Mikey but other than that she puts up with such crap from some of the hms, crap which would stop immediately if she rounded on them. But she doesn't and just gets herself upset about comments made. One other thing she is doing that annoys me is her treatement of Mikey. Honestly, if I hear her say Mikey Wikey one more time!!!

But fundamentally Rachel is a decent and nice girl and as I have said before, she would be a loyal and supportive friend. She just needs to be a friend to herself and stand up for herself much more.

REX
Rex has changed so much since girlfriend Nicole went into the house. He has just become a limpet constantly attached to Nicole, nuzzling and kissing her constantly. He is always bigging her up to others (except when they are having yet another tiff). Of course we still see flashes of the old, witty Rex, but currently he is so tied up in Nicole those times are getting fewer and fewer. And the funny thing about it is that I honestly believe Rex does not want Nicole in the house. To a degree she has stolen some of his thunder and Rex doesn't strike me as a person who gladly shares anything.

But he is right. Nicole being there has damaged his hope of being in the final ~ she is both his princess and his Achilie's heel ~ and there is a very real danger that should he be nomintated this week, he might indeed go on Friday. Which is a pity because I had thought he would make the final 4.

Rex, for all his bravado, is in my opinion very insecure underneath the veneer. I am lead to believe this because of the way he acts with Nicole. He is constantly saying how perfect she is, both to Nicole and to anyone else who will listen. This is all well and good but does he need to say it so often? It is like by making her appear perfect, he is a better person and someone to be envied because he is the 'owner' of this perfect princess.

He still retains his acebric wit but it is just buried under all that pink candyfloss at the moment and I hope it will cut through the stickiness and return in full force again.

SARA
Channel 4 is soon going to be the subject of thousands of law suits for deafness caused to the viewers by this NOISY Australian. She screeches and yells and screams at ear bursting decibels ~ and that is just saying she loves someone or something someone has done! She butters the hms up and everything, just everything, every hm does is cool and wonderful and clever and on and on and ON!

Sometimes I actually like her ~ she can be fun and funny ~ but what takes away from really liking her is that she refuses to express any opinions other than everyone is brilliant. This of course was a clever move earlier on as she sailed through nominations without ever being put up for eviction. But I have a feeling that the hms are at last seeing through her plan and she might see herself leaving the house in the next couple of weeks.

She is like a child who has overdosed on too many e numbers in cheap sweets and pop!

STUART
Bore No.1, Dale was evicted in the face off between himself and Stuart and so we are left with Bore No.2. He drones contantly about missing his daughter, how he will 'walk' so that he can be reuninted with her. After he was saved he went around clutching his hairy face with his painted nails hands, being careful not to smudge his eyeliner or mascarra, looking totally bereft whilst trying to supress a yell of 'YES!'. Who does he think he is fooling? Not the public anyway.

And then when he went back into the bedroom after his suitcase was returned (the hms facing the public vote must pack their stuff and give it to BB prior to eviction announcement). He opened the case sitting on the bedroom floor, took out the letter from his little daughter, paused to look wistfully at it (having made sure the cameras were on him), and then took out her picture and a little gift she had given him. A torn man, broken and sad and needing more than anything to see the love of his life, his daughter whom he has not seen in something like 10 weeks. And as our hearts bled for his plight, locked up as is ... he promptly turned around and got over his heartbreak in a nano second and put all his clothes away!

He is now THE most annoying hm in there. JUST GO STUART!

HAIR CUTTING TASK

BB set the hms a task today, the task being that one hm would cut the other hms hair and put the hair in a flask supplied. The object of the exercise was to fill the flask and they would win a party and a special surprise.

It was decided that Lisa would be the hairdresser as she has often bragged that she was a hairdresser years ago. So into the salon set up by BB goes Lisa. Her first client was Darnell who asked for a no.1 (close cut), Lisa gave him a zero ~ skinned him totally! I am sure Lisa did this with malice aforethought but as with most things Lisa does, it went wrong for her. Watching her do this to Darnell had many of us seething but when it was complete he actually looked very well. And the resultant shaved off hair filled the flask straight off!

Next in was Kat. Who it has to be said acted like a total idiot. I do like Kat but she really annoyed me during this task. She was pretending to be a child at the hairdressers, with Lisa going along with the whole thing fully. Following a little trim she then decided to cut a little off Lisa's hair ~ again with Lisa going along with it.

Turns out that this was a strict rule break as only the hairdresser could touch the equipment. After a telling off by BB and Mikey then announcing he would sit in the hairdressers for the entire task to keep an eye on things, BB made them start all over again ~ discarding all the hair that Darnell had given!

In comes Darnell in a groundhog day scenario. Of course he had nothing to offer this time but Lisa managed to get a few grains of stubble from his already well shaved head.

Darnell leaves and Mikey and Lisa revert to the poison talk that they had indulged in for weeks when they were together all the time. I was rather disappointed in Mikey at slipping back into it so readily, indeed willingly. Nicole, Rex, Kat, Rachel all got mud slung at them. And this pattern continued between clients to the salon for the rest of the task.

Next in is Kat, again, and this time she insists Lisa cuts lots of hair off in an attempt to make up for her causing Darnell's hair to be discounted. Kat ended up looking like she had been savaged but luckily a fair bit of hair was left to the front so it is really only from the back that you can see the mess made.

During Lisa's conversations with her clients, she said that it was 25 years since she had last done this. Let's see, Lisa is 40 so that would have made her 15. I think she once again exagerated her skills ~ 15 year olds generally only get to sweep the floor and make the tea. And looking at her cutting tecniques, I imagine I am totally right in that assumption.

All the hms had at least a trim, with Nicole being not one little bit pleased at having to subject her hair to Lisa's dubious talents!

Mikey had his hair entirely shaved off and surprisingly, he looks far better for it.

They passed the task and were awarded with a party and the special surprise was a box of dodgy looking wigs. Mikey walked about wearing a bo derek cornplaits affair. Unfortunately it was well back on his scalped head and he ended up looking like one of the rednecks from the film Wrong Turn. Scary!

They danced to the tunes supplied by BB for the party, with Lisa throwing the most amazing shapes as she leap and bounded around the room in a world of her own. Where Lisa gets her 1980s cut out clothing from or her dance moves is a mystery. Perhaps those little green men she sees told her she looked cool like that. She doesn't.

MIKEY ~ HEAD OF HOUSE

Mikey has become the fifth head of house having been made head of house after Rachel, the then hoh controversially declared hell team (Mikey, Kat and Nicole) the winners in the London monument cake building competition.

This competition involved the hms making and decorating a cake to look like St. Paul's Cathedral dome (heavenly hms) and the Millenium Dome (hell hms). And Rachel chose hell as the winners, which caused uproar because the heavenly hms had clearly done a much better job than the mess of sponge and icing sugar with sticks of rock stuck in it to represent the Millenium dome as presented by hell hms.

Following her announcement that hell had won the competition, BB immediately announced the the hell hms must decide between them the new hoh. Nicole wanted the position but Mikey said a loud 'NO!' giving the reason that she was only new to the house (Rex naturally wanted Nicole to be hoh so had his nose put out at this), Kat did not want the position, but Mikey so did. And so Rachel announced that her successor was to be Mikey.

And boy, has he taken to the role with relish. He is even louder than usual, does not allow sleeping during the day and anyone caught sleeping will be deluged with a beaker of water. I am only surprised he has not pulled out a whip!

In a surprise turn BB removed the divide between heaven and hell at 6am on Sunday morning, noticed first by Mo who had wandered sleepily into the kitchen, farted a few times and then noticed the divide gone and ran to announce to all that it had gone.

Rex leapt from his bed in hell and literally ran to Nicole's bed in heaven.

So now we have all the hms together again for the first time in 4 weeks and with Mikey as their hoh.

8TH EVICTEE ~ FRIDAY, 08.08.08

DALE OUT WITH 63% OF THE VOTE!

I think most BB fans really didn't care which of the two "hunks" went this week, but as it happens it was Dale. Not really much to say except bye bye Dale. Actually, there is ~ now we will have Stuart harping all week about wishing he had gone and how much he misses his daughter. Has he lost the use of his legs? No. So if he loves and misses his daughter so much why does he not just walk out the door? Oh wait, could it possibly be he wants the fame more than he wants to see his daughter.

But walk he might ... apparently he and Dale have made an agreement that Dale will try to call over the house wall on Sunday the name of the favourite to win and if it is not Stuart he will walk.

Just go tonight Stuart, save the viewers any more time listening to you and save yourself from the false hope that there is ANY possiblity of your winning. There isn't.

BB ~ SOMETIMES YOU ARE JUST TOO TRANSPARENT

Thursday, 7th August

So after last night's carry on with Rex and Nicole and all that talk of leaving, BB have Rachel (head of house) buy back Mo, Kat, and most importantly, Nicole's suitcase. At £20 a pop from their £385 weekly shopping budget.

BB have not done this before and have clearly now done so because they know that without her suitcase Nicole will leave. They have kept Mo and Kat's suitcases for approximately 18 days now, for crossing the divide and stealing bananas! Obviously Nicole would not tollerate being without her case for that length of time and equally obviously they could not give her her case without giving Mo and Kat theirs and that would still leave the problem of the length of time each did without their case.

And so they decide to let Rachel buy them back, which of course she did. Unfair on BBs part in my opinion. Added to that, although the hms all said this was good when Rachel reported back to them, I forsee a lot of bitching later about Rachel having bought them back.

BB FINAL NIGHT PARTY

As we move into the last month of BB9, it's time to start planning our BB final night party. Just get a group of friends together, at least some of whom have watched BB ~ don't worry about the ones who haven't, they'll get into the fun as the night goes on.

For food have lots of crudite (or nibbles), have a selection of drinks and buckets of ice. Have all this set up in the room with the tv you are going to watch ~ BB addicts won't want to miss much of the final night!

Make up little betting jars to make the night fun for those who haven't watched BB too. You can label one jar 'The Winner', the next 2nd, the next 3rd etc. Then cut out strips of paper and write the name of a remaining hm on each, fold them up and pop them in the jars. Everyone puts €1 or £1 into the jars, takes a name and that is their winner or 2nd or whatever. As the hms leave the house the person who has chosen that hm from that position jar wins the kitty. You can up the ante if you wish to make it even more exciting.

Guaranteed even those who didn't watch the show will have a riot.

BIG TROUBLE IN PARADISE

After midnight, 7 August 2008 ~ Rex and Nicole

It's all kicking off with Rex and Nicole. Apparently a story appeared in a red top rag saying Rex had had sex with a stripper in Las Vegas on a lads holiday while he was going out with Nicole. She is not allowed to tell him that this story has been in the papers and it has obviously played on her mind big time and tonight it has all kicked off.

Then the subject of hm Stephanie, to whom Rex was a little too attached, came up. Nicole is now in floods of tears on tv and Rex is trying to control her in between hugging her.

And she has ended up apologising!

She says she wants to go home. Rex says if she walks he will too. She doesn't want him to walk.

I think poor Nicole made a major mistake going into the BB house and this private stuff should have been left for them to discuss when he left the house and not on national tv.

They continue the argument for another hour and Nicole wants to go to the diary room. Rex won't let her. She stomps off to her bedroom (which being on the hell side of the house is out of bounds to Rex). Rex goes to the garden and tells Mo and Rachel all about their fight. Wrong move Rex. In the house we see Nicole has now gone to the diary room. The plot thickens. Will she leave?

AND A FART SAVES THE DAY

Nicole comes out of the diary room and the argument starts off again in the living area. They move to the garden where things are tense. All of a sudden Rex farts with Nicole saying it smelled like a brussel sprout fart. They start laughing and love is restored. Awww, romantic or what? P'raps not, but it worked for them.

DAY 2 OF TROUBLE IN PARADISE

And it's off again. This time it kicked off over breast sizes of all things. Rex repeated some of the argumnet infront of the others, Nicole, naturally, got upset about this and cried off to the diary room. Rex then heads to the garden to tell his side of things to the hms there. Which was not a good thing to do.

I think Nicole is now in an untenable position. She stays, the fights will continue because of what she read in the papers (about his supposedly having a couple of nights with a stripper in Vegas), and of course she cannot tell this to Rex as it is news from the outside world. She goes and Rex says he will go too. If he goes he effectively moves their relationship into limbo that will be hard for either of them to live with ~ the knowledge he might have won BB9 had he stayed. I think in this instance BB would need to allow Nicole to have the full thing out with him (away from the other hms) and then they either iron it out or one of them leaves.

This constant kissy wissy lovey moments flashed with fighting in horrible viewing.

LISA ~ LOSING THE PLOT!

Lisa is disintigrating before our very eyes. Not only are the effects of the alleged botox wearing off taking it's toll on her face, but her mind is seriously moving off into another dimension. She talks of having seen little green men, she likens herself to Jesus, she thinks her 'boyfriend' Mario (real name Shaun) is intelligent and successful, and she really lost it at the weekend when she broke out of the house.

I think she did this in a fit of jealousy at Rex's girlfriend, Nicole, being brought into the house. She was positively seething about that and I reckon she thought Mario would actually re-enter. She took herself off to the loo and after a great victory flush was heard, she came out of the loo saying 'I'm off ... I'm going' ~ and was ignored totally by the hms in the bedroom at the time.

She then went off to the garden and smashed down an exit door and left. BB said to her that as she had not actually left the compound she could go back into the house, an offer she took up with embarassing haste. If she really wanted to go then BB should have let her and indeed not offered her the choice of going back in. Lisa is fast becoming car crash tv and even though I do not like the woman, I really don't want to watch another human being unravelling for entertainment.

HEAVEN, HELL & NOMINATIONS

To earn their place in heaven this week hms had to recite the alphabet backwards. Darnell did this the quickest in 51 seconds but has he has already been head of house and therefore cannot be again, Rachel who did the task in 1 minute and 5 seconds took head of house. Into heaven also went Dale, Lisa, Mo, Stuart and Rex.

Into hell went only 3 hms: Mikey, Kat and Nicole. Hell hms had to complete a task to earn the right to nominate, eating 300 brussels sprouts. What a task this was and they failed of course. Mikey made a huge, and somewhat disgusting, effort to eat as many sprouts as possible. He actually chewed sprouts and spat them into a bucket and mixed the churned up mess with tea and water thinking it would make the task easier. It was pretty horrible viewing but you'd have to hand it to him for his tenacity ~ he struggled on for HOURS in his efforts.

As the hell hms failed, only the heavenly hms nominated and they did so as follows:

Darnell lost his right to vote after BB punished him for crossing the divide into hell. He did this to escape sleeping in the luxury bedroom after he made a pass at Sara, after she had flirted like mad with him constantly all day. When he made his (verbal) pass, Sara went crazy and immediately leapt into Stuart's bed. Darnell then decided he would sleep on the sofas but of course BB punished him by not letting him nominate this week.

Strange that, given that they allowed Lisa to nominate after she lost the plot at the weekend and actually smashed her way out of the house, was allowed back in and suffered no punishment whatsoever and was even allowed into heaven, hence only 3 being in hell ~ she must have been last in the length of time it took to complete the alphabet task.

So the voting meant that Dale received 3 votes, Darnell 1, Lisa 1, Mo 2, Rachel was exempt as she was head of house, Sara 1, Stuart 4, Rex 1, Kat zero votes, Mikey 1 vote and Nicole was exempt for her first week. Dale and Stuart will now face the public vote.

8th EVICTION ~ FRIDAY 8 AUGUST

DALE -V- STUART

This Friday we will see either Dale or Stuart leave the house. And not one minute before time even if we were lucky enough to lose both, which of course we won't, so only one will go. These two have done nothing but whinge for weeks now about wanting to go.

Dale, I think, only says this to see how popular he is with the viewers and hopes to be nominated but not actually evicted. But at this stage of the game he realises that he will get more tv and magazine coverage by leaving before the end if he is not going to win.

Stuart's constant whining about wanting to go to be with his daughter, Mia, is driving me mad. He crys and weeps and is seen trying to squeeze a tear out, unsuccessfully, while lying on his bed, checking the camera is on him and gazing at a photo of his daughter. Stuart, reality check, if you are missing her so much there is a door through which you can walk, back to your daughter and off our screens.

They are two pumped up, attention seeking, empty vessels and really need to move away from the Big Brother show and back to the gyms from which they came. Neither will be a big loss, the only downside is that we will be stuck with one of them for at least another week.

This must go down in BB history as the best BB eviction night EVER!

Davina is announcing to the house which of the 8 hms are NOT going to be evicted, two at a time. So far she has said Mo and Rachel (Dale and Luke are major peed off at this!), next she tells the house Darnell and Stuart are not going. Whew! Darnell is saved!

That leaves Rex, Luke, Dale and Kat. Of course the hms do not know who is popular and who is not and that is causing major tension in the house.

And on top of all that, Nicole, Rex's girlfriend is going in to the house to replace Maysoon. The hms do not know this as I write but I sincerely hope Davina tells that to the house just prior to Luke being evicted!

This is definately the best BB idea EVER!

So we reach our seventh eviction from the BB9 house. Who will go? They say we will decide but will we? For the first time ever in BB voting lines closed 10 hours early at 23:59 last night. This has caused a massive stir on BB forums across the net with conspiracy therories falling over themselves.

It could simply mean that BB don't want to have to accommodate 8 lots of family and friends. But that doesn't make sense on one level ~ it would mean that 3 hms f&f would know that their hm is one of the three who received the most votes to evict and in turn that would leak.

Betting has been suspended on all betting sites since midnight too to make sure that no insider who knows who is going is able to bet. The odds were suspended in the region of:

It looks like Luke is a definate to go PROVIDING BB do not start messing around and for instance, let one or more of the other hms pick from the those polling top (Luke, Dale, Mo). Such a scenario wouls probably see Mo go as the only 3 not facing the public vote are Lisa, Sara and Mikey and they would never pick Luke.

BB have made this one of the best shows for years and a lot of that comes down to their not interferring with voting and nominations. They've sullied it a little with this weeks nominations but lets hope they don't go the whole hog and allow some twist they have not announced to the public.

HMS ~ 31st July ~ DAY 57

On this, the last day of July, here's my take on the hms this week.

DALE At last the hms have learned that what lies below his good looking facade is pretty rotten. BB showed the heavenly hms (Mikey, Rex, Stuart and Mo) his vt which shows Dale saying he would stab any hm to win the money (among other vile things). And they lost absolutely no time in telling their fellow hms when they returned to the main house.

Dale is also greedy and selfish. Last night after all the hms barr Kat had gone to bed, he opened the last tin of tuna and made himself a toasted tuna sandwich using the entire tin. He never even offered Kat some toast which I thought was incredibly bad manners given that he was making something for himself and there was only one other person there. But to use all the tuna was pure greed ~ he had one hell of a job packing it all on to the toast. He never stopped for one moment to consider that he should use a small bit of the can and leave the rest incase anyone wanted some in the morning. Dale is like a totally spoiled little brat and has a temper to match.

We continued to hear a constant cry of I want to go from both Dale and Stuart this week and last week and yet when they find they are facing the public vote, they backtrack ~ they don't want to go! For goodness sake make up your minds, or better still, tell the truth in the first place!

Sadly, he most probably will not go this Friday as so many want Luke out but with a bit of luck the hms will nominate him again next week and that should see the end of Dale in the BB house.

DARNELL Still my favourite. He is smart, caring and sensitive. He is too sensitive sometimes and I suppose I can see how his need for peer approval might annoy some people. But he is what he is and can't help his feelings. At least with Darnell he doesn't gossip behind peoples' back, if he has a problem he will say it directly to the person. His friendship with Kat is lovely to watch and they seem to genuinely like each other. Darnell is also the most perceptive hm in there. He quickly and logically sorts what is being said into fact and fiction and has no qualms in verbalising his thoughts.

I loved watching him try to get the safe open even with the hms screaming at him that BB was telling him to stop immediately. He just ignored it completely and carried on until he was ready to stop. Naughty, but funny.

KAT Still between loving her and worrying that maybe we are not seeing the real Kat and she is in fact a major game player. I hope she is as I thought, and genuine and good but sometimes when hms are telling her she will probably win she never says, no. She just sits accepting it as a fact. That said, she continues to be a good friend to Rachel, Rex and Darnell. She is the only one Rex is consistently kind to and he seems very close to her. She is also the only one who will take Rex aside and tell him when he is misbehaving. I hope she will make the final 3.

LISA Lisa continues to be a sneaky, nasty person. This week when she and Luke were sitting at the kitchen table she started saying to Kat that she (Kat) would learn lots of new words this week from Luke now that they were all in hell together. Then she said 'yes, Luke has a large volcablury (her pronunciation of words indicates her spelling might not be that hot), she continued saying yes, he will teach her 'shut up, shut up' and then continued sniggering about this with Luke. This was a dig at Kat's singing and Kat knew exactly what she meant, resulting in Rachel and Kat leaving the living room. Lisa is a bully, like her 'partner' Mario (really name Shaun). And in Luke she has found a perfect replacement for Mario in Luke who could bitch for England. This week she also tore into Belinda, telling the boys that she was only 3 years older than Belinda (in other words, look at me and how fabulous I am and then look how old Belinda looks). She then went on to say she would write a book (presumably with a ghost writer) on how to look good at 40. I had to laugh at Dale's retort, which was along the lines of 'yeah, look good at 40 but have lost all your marbles.'

Added to that, her 1980s clothes and her stupid stories, she is seriously losing the plot. She has likened herself to Jesus (meek) and continues with crazy stories about life and her sightings of aliens and so on. She thinks the other hms are laughing with her. They're not Lisa, they're laughing at you.

LUKE Possibly the most vile hms in the history of BB. He is like a disease in there and when he has the likes of Lisa and Mikey with him turns them into creatures as vile as himself. He constantly harps about the £100k prize and accuses all and sundry of wanting the money while he is probably the one who wants it most. He is like a very old minded person in a young man's body. I just cannot believe that a 21 year old boy has nothing else on his mind but bitching and being nasty. He spends his time analysing every move made by ever hm and every announcement made by BB. Hopefully he will go on Friday and I can't wait to see how he will compute the fact that out of the 8 people facing the public vote, he is the one that receives most votes. He will more than likely explode his brain.

MAYSOON The lovely Maysoon has left the house. I don't think she could stand another minute with some of the hms. In her usual way, she told some of her hms she was leaving and had ordered her suitcase in a calm way and without a major fuss. She was a lady and behaved that way during her entire time in the house. I wish her well.

MIKEY Mikey, away from the toxic twins (Luke and Lisa) becomes a much funnier hm. There were times this week when I actually liked him. He slipped back a little when he was back in touch with the toxic twins when Lisa was slagging Kat with her 'shut up, shut up' comments. Today he joined in the fun of the shopping task with Rex and Stuart and full agreed with ordering a few basics and wasting the rest on tokens and prizes. That redeemed him a bit too. I still don't want him in the final three, I'm afraid his nastiness when he was Mario's mouthpiece made me dislike him intensly and I don't think I could come back from that enough to wish him a final place.

BB will of course do their best to ensure he reaches that 3 ~ a point in question this week was the others being punished for nomination talk and his being let off even though on at least 2 occasions he openly discussed nominations.

MO For me, Mo provided the funniest moments in BB ever with his performance in the chilli task. It was BB tv at it's very best. I like Mo and don't mind if he was in the final 3, which I think is unlikely. He is farily good at holding his own without losing his temper and I think he is a decent person, if a little greedy at times.

RACHEL Rachel continues to be nicey nicey but at least this week she started addressing some of the comments Rex has made to her. She cans stand her ground at times, for instance in one of the first arguments in the house when Alex told Bex off for burning the chips, Rachel was one of the only hms who defended her. She does it quietly but she digs her heels in and won't be swayed. Still, although I know she is a nice girl, I continue to hope to see her coming out of her shell more.

REX Rex is hilarious at the moment (other than when he is nagging Rachel). Today in the shopping task he made me smile so much. He has ordered £20 worth of food and drinks (tea, coffee, sugar, etc) and spent the balance of £55 on mystery gifts/tokens. He knows this is going to cause a major shock to the hms not in on it (he did the shopping with Stuart and Mikey and with their full approval). He is in good form at the moment knowing his girlfriend is still there for him following the task where Lisa and Luke were called to the task room to pick his gf from a line up (along with Mo's brother). They got Mo's brother right but picked the wrong girl as Rex's gf, saying when they went back into the house that his actual girlfriend (whom they failed to recognise as such) that she was hard faced, cheap looking, mean looking mouth and so on. Which wasn't nice on any level and most hurtful to the girl. These comments haven't gone down well with Rex as he now knows they picked the wrong girl and messing the shopping task is a perfect revenge given that they are 2 of hms who most get themselves in a tizz about the shopping.

SARA Sara continues to be annoying. She has a voice like siren and never shuts up. Perhaps her best friend, Lisa, should have applied the shut up stab at her. She follows Lisa round like a pet dog and bigs her up continually. Her friendship with Lisa indicates just how shallow Sara is, and once again a friendship with one of the toxic twins is proving a detremental move by a hm. The other hms are starting to see through her too and I don't think she will make the final 3.

STUART This big lump really annoys my happiness. I had vague hopes for him earlier on that he might improve but he continues to be a sneaky idiot. During the pod task he agreed to nominate Luke and Dale as the majority wanted that. Then he goes into the diary room and nominates Darnell and Maysoon. Why didn't he just have the balls to say that he wasn't going to vote as agreed? Yes, he did say he didn't want to vote Dale (his best friend in the house) but did he have to go completely against his 3 heavenly hms? He is now boring me stiff too with his constant whining about wanting to leave to see his daughter, Mia. This is another load of tosh from Stuart ~ if he misses his daughter so badly, leave. No-one will miss him.

He won't be evicted this week but we should see the back of him by the week after next (next week will probably be Dale's turn).

Rex, Mikey and Stuart are doing the shopping budget today. They are on a basic budget of £7 per hm for the week, having failed the shopping task earlier in the week.

They have only ordered milk, tea, coffee, sugar and custard creams. The balance of the money all going on tokens and mystery gifts. Absolutely hilarious and I see a total freak out by Luke when he discovers what they have done. Lisa too will have a fit.

Watch for the war to begin and the sparks to fly when the shopping is delivered!

Okay, imagine you have to do a big shopping list and you can't even boil an egg. You'd choose someone who knew what they were doing in a kitchen, right? So Rex took on the job of the Basic Shopping Budget.

Sitting on the floor in the Luxury Bedroom, Rex set about the Task and was joined by Mikey. But very soon it emerged that Rex was up to no good. "Why don't we just get 77 special tokens?" MASS LINE UP FOR EVICTIONS DAY

7th EVICTION

The heavenly hms decided that the two hms they would put up for eviction on Friday was Luke and Dale. All three stuck to this agreement when called to the diary room individually to nominate. Stuart broke his agreement behind their backs and nominated Darnell and Maysoon. How very like Stuart to be totally untrustworthy. At this point they realised that it would be Luke and Dale facing the public vote and so allowed the hell hms to pass the almost impossible task they had set them, thus allowing the entire house to nominate. Once again, Luke and Dale received the highest nominations. So, that avenue for getting other hms up failed and so BB seemed to go into panic mode thinking that their darling Luke was in danger and so pulled rank and for the first time since this series began, came down hard on hms who discussed nominations.

BB announced to the house that the hms nominated to face the public vote this week was Dale and Luke.

And then added that because of nominations discussions by certain hms, Stuart was stripped of his Head of House title, and the following would also face the public vote:

Darnell, Kat, Maysoon, Mo, Rachel, Rex, and Stuart.

Mikey, who had clearly been involved in nominations talk at least TWICE this week, was not included. Why?! Because Mikey is another BB favourite and they will twist any which way to save their favourites.

So now that left nine housemates facing the public vote this week, reduced to eight by Maysoon's leaving, and they obviously hoped that Luke would be saved and the public vote would be so spread around that another hm would go in his place.

How wrong they got it. I, along with many other viewers, think Luke will still go.

And guess what BB pulled out of the bag now?

VOTING LINES WILL CLOSE THURSDAY NIGHT AT 23:59 ~ almost 10 hours early knowing full well that the majority of the voting is done on a Friday and if people do not know about the lines closing early they might still save Luke!

This has outraged viewers who are aware of it even more and I predict many will now vote Luke or Dale in protest at such interfering. BB should really stay away from trying to fiddle voting.

MAYSOON HAS LEFT

30th July 2008 (20:54) ~ Maysoon has left the Big Brother house

I don't know what her reasons were but as probably the most intelligent and refined female hm she maybe realised that she could no longer tollerate the behaviour of some of the idiots in the house.

Some viewers suggest that she has wanted to leave since the heavenyl hms (rex, stuart, mo and mikey) viewed her vt and kept saying that she had been acting sexy in it and as a Muslim she was shocked at them thinking this and how her parents might think of others perceiving her thus.

I don't agree with that assessment ~ the girl had just had enough of some of those hms. And who could blame her?

The ONLY good thing about the very lovely Maysoon leaving is that she won't be evicted on Friday in the mass cull BB are carrying out. I was afraid that she may have gone and thus saved either Dale, or more probably Luke, from their just desserts.

Maysoon has been having a rough time of it since Sunday night, when Rex and Stuart gave her a hard time over her eviction video.

Hell hms task which they must pass to be allowed to vote involves them dividing 40,500 sprinkles (those tiny little beads made of sugar and dyed different colours which are sometimes put on top of fairy cakes) into separate colours, ie all pink sprinkles together, all purples ones, etc. The sprinkles are very TINY and the hms are using tweezers to separate them. They are also quite pastel colours which makes them even more difficult to sort.

This is a terrible task for Darnell who has limited eyesight and I'm surprised at BB giving them such a task in view of that.

Clearly BB are hoping for a fail.

BB gives the heavenly hms a night of pizza, beer, and video. Video tapes showing the hms audition tapes! OMG! What a stir that caused when they went back into the house and gathered the hms to tell them what they'd seen.

Dale's audition tape was pretty vile: 'I'll stab any of them (his fellow hms) in the back to get the £100k" and "if there's any fanny in the house I'll nail it". He also says on the tape that though he is training to be a sports teacher, he hopes he never has to do it because he hates kids.

The other hms looked on shocked as the heavenly hms spilled the beans on Dale and Dale looked even more stunned than he normally does, and not a little angry. He denied much of what they said but as the hhms pointed out, it's all there on tape.

BB has introduced a nomination pod in the garden. The hms from heaven, Rex, Mo, Mikey and Stuart must use it to discuss the hms they want to nominate this week. They must name names and discuss why they want each hm nominated.

"This is Big Brother. Will the Head of House enter the Diary Room?" Stuart went in.
"I wonder what this is going to be?" whispered Mohamed.
When he returned Stuart was excited.
"Has an envelope ever had 'this contains very important information' on it before?" asked Stuart.

"Yes," said Luke."I probably got over-excited then," said a slightly deflated Stuart.

Stuart read the laminate, telling the housemates that he and the Heavenly Housemates have access to the new Nominations Pod.

Once inside the Nominations Pod, any two permitted housemates can discuss who they may or may not nominate for this week's eviction.

"The Head of House and Heavenly Housemates are reminded that only they can use the Nominations Pod," read Stuart. "No-one can discuss the nominations anywhere else."
First up, Rex and Stuart went to the Nominations Pod which is situated in the garden.

"Look at them looking!" shouted Stuart, suddenly less comfortably with the situation."I think because of Kat being so annoyed by Lisa this week," said Rex, "I might nominate Lisa."
Rex started laughing. "This is so weird..." We bet Nasty Nick from BB1 is kicking himself...

So, Stuart scored the most points and is HoH this week. What will he do without his bitch buddies Luke and Dale (who?).

The other three highest scores who will go to heaven are: Mikey, I am shocked he managed it coz he looked so ill when he came out of the diary room, Mo ~ his performance post-diary room would have earned it in my opinion anyway, and Rex, who remained cool as a cucumber after he came out of the diary room.

HEAD OF HOUSE ~ 26 July 2008

The new HoH task is taking place today, Saturday 26th July. In the diary room there are 8 chillis lined up ranging in strength from very mild to very hot, 1 point for the mild chilli to 8 points for the very hot chilli. The hms are being called to the diary room in alphabetical order and have five minutes to clock up as many points as they can.

The hm who clocks up the most points will be the new HoH and then the next three hms who score the highest points will go with the HoH to heaven. All the other hms will spend the week in hell.

I am delighted that they are all having to compete in the task as it will mix up the selection of hms in each divide and should make for a better break. The alternative where the HoH picks his/her friends to join them in heaven was becoming stale.

So far it looks like Lisa, Kat, Maysoon and Mikey have failed. Lisa and Kat each said they misunderstood the instructions, Maysoon vomited on the diary room floor and twice since she came back into the house, and Mikey stumbled out after his attempt with a face on fire and in a state of near faint. Evil to laugh at their distress I know but hey, laugh I did.

I think the 4 who will pass are possibly Rex, Mo, Sara, and Darnell. But I will reveal who actually passed as soon as the information is available.

It seems Kat lied to her fellow hms (evil, love it!). She is in the lead so far having clocked up 17 points. Go Kat! Darnell has 11 and Dale (who?) has 6.

Mo has just come screaming out of the diary room as if he is literally on fire! Straight through the house and out to the cold shower in the garden. I reckon Mo is a sure fire winner here. Absolutely hilarious!

So this week, ending with eviction day 25th July, we in Ireland are unable to vote. Some technicality.

To overcome this in future a suggestion is to simply send a friend in the UK money via paypal ~ it is instantaneous and they only need an email address.

BB have called him to the diary room (approx. 7.05pm) so hopefully they will persuede him to take them out of the bin. Mind you, if all goes well, Darnell will be able to buy lots of clothes with that STG£100k cheque!

TASK ~ TUESDAY 22ND JULY

The housemates have to stop time...

For this week's Shopping Task, the housemates have to complete five separate challenges (and pass three of them) based around the theme of 'time'.

In the "clock making challenge", two Heavenly housemates chosen by Dale have to construct a giant pocket watch from equipment provided by Big Brother. But guess what? They'll have to do it in a certain amount of time!

In the "archeological dig", three Heavenly housemates will unearth historical objects by, erm, digging them up, and will then have to date them (that's 'determine when they were made', not 'take them out for dinner')

They'll also have to form a human clock, turn off alarm clocks in a limited amount of time, and keep the sands of time flowing in a giant egg timer.

Dale, Head of House, will have to oversee all the challenges but cannot take part in any of them.
But will the housemates succeed at the Tasks this week, or will they run out of time? The clock's ticking...

facing the public vote. If these are indeed the 3 up then I would imagine it will be bye bye Bex with a slight chance it may be Mo. I reckon Darnell is safe to stay. I certainly hope he his.

THE HALF WAY POINT

Today, Monday 21st July, is the exact halfway point of Big Brother 2008. 47 days of watching hms come and go and friendships develope and die off again.

We are now into the 2nd week of the Heaven & Hell divide and Luke has taken over from Darnell as Head of House. He chose Stuart, Rex, Maysoon, Luke and Bex to accompany him to Heaven, leaving Lisa, Mikey, Darnell, Kat, Rachel, Mo and Sara to go to Hell.

How are the remaining 13 housemates shaping up at this stage?

DALE
Dale is now the Head of House, having won this honour by being able to swing on a tyre, dressed in a gorilla suit, for the longest. This sums up Dale. He does have tenacity and staying power, but is not capable of much in the way of brain power. He is the sort of person who gets through life on his, granted, good looks. He can be aggressive and easily angered and will kick off when he thinks he can get away with it and not be challenged by someone stronger, or whom he percieves to be favoured within the group.

DARNELL
My favourite to win. He is intelligent, street smart and has a high sense of what is right and what is wrong and will not tollerate abuse of others. He has just finished his week as the first BB Head of House and as a result has left himself very vulnerable to being nominated to face the public vote on this coming Friday, thanks to those who spent the week in Hell being very bitter about his not taking them to Heaven with them.

KAT
Probably my second favourite. I love her gentle outlook on life but she is very sensitive to those she holds dear being hurt by other hms. Yes, she could be annoying to be with 24/7 IF she did do her cookie power thing or happy house thing all day, but she doesn't in fact do this despite what her detractors say. She has great insight into the way hms behave and she is genuinely hurt by people behaving in a mean way. A lovely woman who will probably be in the final 4.

LISA
Many, including myself, thought that she would come into her own when her 'boyfriend' Mario was evicted. Instead she has turned herself into a Mario advertisement telling her hms, and in actuallity the viewers how wonderful this bullish man is. She is sinking into madness too, telling her fellow hms of her sightings of aliens, how she is acting like Jesus by being meek (?), and that the universe was calling Mario ~ it was his time to leave the house. The thing about Lisa is that she is really strong and will work her butt off to complete a task and tries her best to activate her lazier hms. It is just a pity her strength of body and her tenacity is let down by her ever weakening mind.

LUKE
He is like a human mosquitto, small but intensely annoying. He reminds me of one of those kids at school who when asked by the teacher which child did wrong, leapt up excitedly pointing 'IT WAS HIM. IT WAS HIM'. He really is that annoying! His great friendship, which granted does have its funny moments, does not really help him much. The snide and bitch constantly and wo betide any hm who slights them in anyway ~ we never hear the end of such slights. Except of course when it suits Luke to change and be friends with that person, then the next hm suffers his back stabbing. The thing about Luke is that if he would cease behaving like a little brat he could be entertaining but he is souring many viewers with his nastiness.

MAYSOON
Probably the most beautiful hm in BB9 and certainly one of the most beautiful in any BB. She is very quiet so far but I see her opening up a little more now. She has a strength of mind and body and a certain dignatiy that will probably carry her through at least another few weeks in the house. So far she has not done too much in the house but I am putting that down to shyness ~ she is one of the newer hms having entered later with Sara and the now evicted, Belinda. I hope to see her coming out of herself more and showing us what she is made of.

MICHAEL (Mikey)
Probably the most annoying hm in the house. He constantly whinges, moans and back stabs. He is proving himself to be a miserable begrudger. His great friend Mario is gone and he is now under the wing of Mario's 'girlfriend' Lisa. And boy do those two bitch about the other hms. No-one is safe from Mikey's bitching. He sits around the house, like some sort of ghost, silent and listening and then carrying anything he hears back to Lisa where they devour the information and spit out bile as they chew. He also has an intense dislike of Darnell, Kat, Mo, and Maysoon. Yes, this could be their personalities but as he has a passion for collecting Natzi memorabilia, I fear it may be more to do with the fact they are not white. And the worst thing about Mikey is that, being blind, he engenders a fear in the other hms of nominating him to face the public vote and, saving BB putting ALL the hms up to face the public vote, it looks like he will slither his way to the final 4. Not a hope of winning of course, but unfortunate that he may get to the final at all.

MOHAMED (Mo)
Most of the time I like Mo but he does have an incredible greed habit. He is not alone in eating too much when the food is low (Dale and others will sneak late night snacks when the others are in bed). But apart from that, Mo seems a decent and loyal person. He is very close to Kat and they are a great support to each other within the house. I hope he makes the final 4 but I doubt it because many of the hms have him in their sights to go. We shall see.

RACHEL
A lovely girl but oh my, why won't she ever take a stand? She seems totally incapable of expressing exactly how she feels. She would be a wonderful friend but I'm not sure she is portraying herself well to the viewers in that she refuses to be annoyed or angered in anyway, she is like a perfect girl, cheerleader type and very sweet but I feel she should step up to the plate more and make a good account of herself and stand up for herself. She does have an inner strength where she will not do what she thinks is wrong, and that is great, but I would love to see her telling some of those who are rude to her exactly where to go. But I fear this is not at all her way, preferring peace at any cost. I would love to see her in the final 4, but once again her niceness will see her nominated soon ~ certain hms do not believe anyone can be that nice as they have obviously never encountered a person like Rachel, or her best pal, Kat, for that matter. Which is a pity because they are both great.

REBECCA (Bex)
A vacous, noisy, begrudging, spoiled lump. How this girl survives in the outside world I just do not know. She has absolutely no concept of working hard to complete a task and throws the towel in very quickly, usually whinging loudly about something not being fair. She clearly thinks the world owes her a living and nothing is dependent on her actually working towards it. There are times when she and her best buddy, Luke, can be very funny ~ he is so conservative and uptight and she is noisy and slutty, but those times are shadowed by her behaviour at other times. And perhaps if she were able to keep her clothes on for more than a day or so it would help ~ the entire viewership has been exposed to her huge breasts on umpteen occasions so far and the sight is not one most want or need to see. Put em away Bex!

REX
A very hot favourite with many ladies. He is arrogant, opinionated and very boastful and the ladies love it. I think a lot of his bravado is based in a need to push his fellow hms as far as he possibly can to see if he can get a reaction. He causes great jealousy among certain hms with his boasts of his rich father, his restaurants, his lifestyle. Instead of their saying shut up Rex they just sit there listening only to go and make snidy remarks behind his back. However, he is a great friend to Kat and fairly close to Mo, although he does give Mo a bit of grief from time to time. Although he is nominated quite often, he will more than likely make it through at least another few weeks if not indeed into the final.

SARA
I quite like Sara but her thunderingly loud voice and screeching laughter would make me want to kill her if I was trapped with her 24/7. She is a terrible flirt and unfortunately it is falling flat as the male hms are too up themselves with their eye on the £100k prize to be overly interested in her. She suffers the 'late in hm' syndrom ~ you are an outsider to the initial group and this does not benefit her. I'm not sure I like her developing closeness to Lisa and Mikey, it will do her absolutely no good in the long run. But I feel she is probably smart enough to realise they are not as nice as she thinks and move away from them. Probably won't make it to the final but a good hm nonetheless.

STUART
Stuart is a bid of a conundrum to me. He does show great strength and staying power in the tasks and if he would get off the fence a little more he could move into a pole position. Once again, he was one of the later hms to enter but he has overcome this to a greater degree. He could be a decent guy and make it to the end if he would just assert himself more and take a stand. Instead at the moment he is in with mostly everyone and that just doesn't work in BB.

BELINDA -V- REX

FRENCH TASK

The hms will be taking part in a French task over the next couple of days (in honour of yesterday being Bastille Day). The details are as follows:

"TASK: VIVE LA FRANCE!

Hellish Housemates Cycle Le Tour De Grand Frere

Heavenly Housemates Indugle Senses With French Food, Wine & Mime

For this week's shopping task, housemates must celebrate cycling season and become au fait with all things French.

The task will take the form of four separate challenges.

Heavenly Housemates will be tested on the sensitivity of their palate, their appreciation of French food and their ability to mime.

Hellish Housemates will be required to cycle two bikes for 520 miles each as they take part in Le Tour De Grand Frère.

The challenges will be as follows:

LE TOUR DE GRAND FRÈRE
Hellish Housemates have 30 hours in which to cycle two racing bikes the 520 kilometres of Le Tour De Grand Frère, (a combined total of 1040 kilometres - the equivalent of cycling from Paris to Madrid). Luke is ill and will not take part

WINE TASTING
Two Heavenly housemates will be required to become wine connoisseurs. Housemates must learn to identify 15 different French red wines from their taste and bouquet.

BON APPETIT
Two Heavenly housemates will be required to become food gourmets and must demonstrate their love of French cuisine by taking part in the French Food Challenge - eating a 5 ft long brie, grape and salad baguette within 20 minutes (one Housemate each end).

THE ART OF MIME
Two Heavenly housemates will be required to master the discipline of mime. They must learn 15 separate mime actions which they must utilise in an improvised performance.

If housemates pass three or more challenges, then housemates will pass this week's shopping task and will receive a luxury shopping budget of five pounds per head per day.

If housemates fail two or more challenges then housemates will fail this week's shopping task and will receive a basic shopping budget of one pound per head per day."

The hms doing the "LE TOUR DE GRAND FRÈRE" task are Lisa, Stuart, Bex, Luke (he is to take part), Mikey & Sara.

Lisa & Stuart are so far doing really well and will continue to do so in my opinion, and indeed probably carry the bulk of the task. Bex, although saying she would do the midnight to 3am stint, has just been on a bike and complained of the seat being too high - after about 2 seconds. Changed to the other bike (there are 2) and then moaned she couldn't do even 20 minutes. And it looks like they have already incurred one fail - none of them noticed, let alone himself, that Mikey was not wearing his helmet and gloves. Oh dear.

The hms doing "WINE TASTING" task are Dale and Mo. Task not yet started.

The hms doing the "BON APPETIT" task are: Rex and Kat. Task not yet started.

The hms doing the "THE ART OF MIME" task are: Maysoon and Rachel. Task not yet started.

Darnell, as Head of Household is a gendarme.

TWIST ~ THEY PASSED

So they managed to peel all the potatoes to BB's satisfaction and can now nominate. All of Heaven's hms have nominate and now Hell's hms are starting to nominate.

From what I hear, so far it seems Lisa, Bex and possibly Belinda will face the public vote.

NOMINATIONS TWIST

Seems there WILL be a nominations twist this week. From the Ch4 site:

"This week's nominations get a new, curly twist...

In order for Housemates from Hell to earn the right to nominate this week, Housemates from Hell must peel all the potatoes in the Garden, using the potato peelers provided.

If Housemates from Hell fail to peel all the potatoes to Big Brother's satisfaction, Housemates from Hell will lose the right to nominate.

As Luke is unwell he must not take part in the task, but will be able to nominate if the potatoes are peeled correctly.

Wonder if the Housemates from Hell will find that a-peel-ing..?"

Knowing how bone idle Bex is she will probably ensure this task is a fail. Lisa will throw herself into the task, as she always does, but will she managed to work hard enough to make up for Bex?

If they fail then it seems only Head of House, Darnell, and his fellow Heaven hms will nomintate. And if that is the case, then it looks like Bex, and possibly Luke, will be the hms facing the public vote this week.

HEAVEN AND HELL

Following Darnell's election as Head of House, BB later announced that the house was to be divided into Heaven and Hell. Darnell had to chose 6 hms to take with him to live in Heaven, leaving the remaining hms to have a week of hell.

Darnell chose: Dale, Rex, Mo, Kat, Rachel and Maysoon, leaving Lisa, Luke, Bex, Mikey, Stuart, Belinda and Sara to move to Hell. The first effect of this was that Darnell's chosen moved into the luxury bedroom, ironic really that most of those who had to move out of the luxury bedroom and into BBlock were the ones who had hogged the luxury bedroom since day one. The hms in Heaven will have exclusive access to the luxury bathroom and the hms in Hell will have to make do with the shower.

Later that evening BB gave a feast to Darnell & his fellow hms from Heaven and the folks from Hell had to make do with basic rations.

I am LOVING this task ~ Darnell Head of House (and exempt from nominations) and the hms he chose to take to Heaven would have been my choice too. I hope they have a fabulous week.

HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD

For the first time ever, BB decided that there would be a Head of Household. BB asked that 3 hms put themselves forward to compete in an election to find the Head of House. The Head of House would have numerous responsibilities including: the day to day running of the house, doing the weekly shopping list, how and when to use the tokens, and make decisions regarding any tasks BB would set during their week in power. The elected hm would also be exempt from nomination this week but will be able to nominate.

Darnell, Mo, Dale, Luke, and Lisa stood up. Mo changed his mind and sat down, later saying it might end up putting him in bad favour with his fellow hms. After a show of hands for each hm, Lisa too withdrew, leaving Dale, Darnell and Luke to stand for election.

BB supplied the candidates with suits, shirts & ties and colour sashes and rosettes to campaign in true political style. Each had to stand on their podium and tell the assembled hms what their manifesto was. Dale was his usual slightly dozy self, depending on his pretty boy looks, Luke was marginally funny with some of his suggestions and Darnell shone ~ he wouldn't look out of place in the US elections.

After some campaigning, the hms gathered to discuss each candidate and then secret voting took place. Dale, Darnell and Luke could also vote and indeed were allowed to vote for themselves. Dale voted for Dale, Darnell voted for Dale, Luke voted for Darnell. The votes were counted and the results were:

Dale ~ 3 votes

Darnell ~ 9 votes

And so Darnell was elected first ever Head of House. Much to my joy!

MARIO EVICTED

It was with great joy I watched on Friday night to see Mario (real name Shaun) evicted. When Davina called his name his shock was evident. He pretended he was okay with it ~ even looking forward to leaving to go back into the real world, but underneath that man was seething. Losing out to a loud mouth like Bex whom he had slated all day behind her back in a very obvious stab at getting the voting public to see how great he was and how bad she was. Didn't work Mario ~ 77% of those who voted saw through you.

Mario was far from cool at being chosen to face the public vote. He was furious and took his anger out on his 'partner', Lisa. Since Tuesday, following the announcement by BB that he and Bex had received the most votes from their fellow hms, he picked on Lisa. He chipped and chipped away at her confidence telling her she was a slave to the others, that they only liked her because she cooked and cleaned for them, that they were using her, and on and on and on until he eventually said to her that she had 'changed', she was now obviously wanting to win and that had changed her. In writing it does not look too bad, but watching his evil smile as he spouted this venom to supposedly his nearest and dearest, made very uncomfortable viewing.

The press has had various stories from previous partners of Mario's alledging abuse and after seeing him in action all week, I have to say it brings some credence to what these women have been saying. And I was not alone in thinking this. Many people watched the way he acted and felt he was the thug his ex's said. For goodness sake, his ex-father-in-law and Lisa's father both say he is a thick bully. And all that was more believable when we saw him turn on Lisa during the week. In effect he created and paved the way to his downfall. Only once did Lisa turn on him and that lasted all of a few seconds ~ instead she stood by her man telling anyone who would listen how wonderful he was, all knowing and full of integrity. Right Lisa ~ who's up for a reality check?

Of course Lisa was not the only one to get a sly dig or attack from Mario ~ he made Rachel cry, he gave Belinda a nasty verbal attack, he threatened (to his lapdogs Lisa, Mikey & Luke) that he would tell the rest of the hms exactly what he thought before he left the house if he was the one to go. And we perched on the edge of our chairs to see what would happen. Guess what the big, brave Mario did? Nothing. In Mario's world it is okay to shout out women, but men? Not a chance. That is how brave Mario is. All that sealed his fate and resultantly it was a roar of boos that welcomed him back into the world.

Or as Lisa put it after Davina announced Mario's name 'The universe is calling Mario.' Yeah, Lisa and to misquote Buzz Lightyear:

Yes, not one, not two but three new hms tomorrow night. All women!

- A Model (possibly from one of the Lynx ads.)

- An executive personal assistant

- A theatre director

Wow! That should certainly liven up the house. Poor Mario - he'll tie himself in knots trying to impress, look cool, and not make his 'girlfriend' jealous all at the one time. And given that at least one of them will probably be a strong woman, Mario will not be able to cope with having his imagined superior knowledge challenged. Can't wait to see him being battered down and shown to the other hms to be the useless lump of a man he is.

And I wonder how long it will take Dale to get over his broken heart at Jen leaving? A day? Less?

I feel a bit sorry for the new 3 - who on earth are they going to bond with in there? The only half decent folk are Darnell, Kat & Rachel. And at this stage, though I think Rachel is indeed a lovely girl, she is just a wee, tiny bit tedious. And Kat. Poor Kat ~ I do think she is a genuinely nice person and very sincere but she is finding the whole thing a bit difficult. She is just not used to so much anger and noise.

If Rex doesn't walk, which he may well do on Saturday, then perhaps the new 3 will be able to chat with him. He seems intelligent and an okay guy but he does have an air of arrogance that some find hard to take.

I certainly hope at least one of the 3 are strong enough to put Mario firmly in his place and tell him what an absolutely vile, backstabbing old woman he really is.

AND - watch out for a twist tomorrow night. What's it going to be? Perhaps the 3 new hms will be the only ones nominating next week? That would be good. Providing of course the others aren't told about it until nomination day. We'll have to wait until tomorrow night to see.

The model is a 28 year old beautician from Hertfordshire called MAYSOON. She has been modeling for 8 years. I've seen her photo and she is stunning.

Our readers don't have to wait until 7.30 this evening to hear who is up for the public vote ~ our BB insider has confirmed that up this Friday (4th July) Rex and Jen are up. Bex narrowly missed being in the line-up. No matter, she'll keep.

So. Will Rex walk when he's told later today? He has already said he is ready to walk as he is finding a lot of the hms hard work, Jen ironically being one of them! I think not. Surely he has too much integrity to walk when he is up for the public vote? I reckon he will face it and take what comes and I would be really surprised if he chose to walk this week (unless of course he walked before he was told he was up).

Who will go? I reckon it's goodbye Jen. Why? She has proven herself to be a manipulative, whinny little madam. Why not Rex? Apparently he has a massive following of ladies at this stage. Hopefully on Friday Davina will say: JENNIFER! And what a major shock that will cause amongst her chronies ~ they think she is a godess and that the viewing public do too.

POST SPITGATE

After fight night, now being called Spitgate, I find myself actually feeling sorry for Dennis. Yes, he was totally out of order and deserved to be removed from the house but I think he was the fall guy in the whole ugly debacle.

He clearly tried to calm the situation down in the early part of the argument and prior to it all kicking off all he had wanted to do was go for a spa with Jen. Mainly because Jen had been crying like her first born had been murdered ~ all over a silly painting she had done! She even compared her painting to a Monet, saying to Rex (who'd smudged her silly painting) 'would you do that to a Monet!'. PLEASE. That girl needs a big shovel of reality shoved into her whining mouth! And then a whack over the head with said shovel to see if some sense could be knocked into her.

But as she kept crying about her painting and 'though Rex apologies profusely and repeatedly, and the aggression all around her escalated, Dennis could be seen to becoming more and more wound up. BB should have stepped in at that point and sent in security to separate the hms but, I suppose for the sake of guaranteeing themselves higher viewer figures, misguidely allowed it to run. And that is when Dennis lost the run of himself and leapt up and spat at Mo.

He was 100% wrong in what he did but I think that Stuart and Dale's excessive aggression was partly to blame and that they too should have received some extreme punishment. Which as far as we the viewers are aware, they have not. But perhaps BB has something up his sleeve for them. I certainly hope so ~ they were bang out of order.

NOMINATIONS 30 June 2008

Providing BB don't change things, nominations will take place today. After the heat of last week it will be interesting to see who nominates whom. By my reckoning the nominations will result in Jen and Rex facing the public vote with a possibility of Bex. There's a very slim chance Rachel could be in the mix but it is slim.

If Jen and Rex face the public vote it is nearly certain Jen will the be one to go. This will come as a massive shock to her as she clearly sees herself as the queen bee in the house and as a result assumes the viewers love her too. This was helped along by someone outside the house calling in 'we love you Jen!'. Her face will be a picture when Davina says: JENNIFER!

From the house as I write: Luke has been sent to jail. Could it be that he is being punished for his almost constant hints about nominations and therefore not allowed to nominate this week? Or will BB be really evil and make him nominate from jail in full hearing of his fellow hms. Now that would be good.

"Whaaat?!" wailed Luke at the top of his voice. "Have you banned me from nominations then?"
"The door's open, Luke," deadpanned Big Brother.
The naughty rule-breaker then stomped out of the Diary Room and straight towards the jail, telling anyone who would listen that it wasn't fair. "This is absurd! This is ridiculous! This is an outrage!"

As our BB insider told us, Sylvia is evicted.

Cue tears from the fountain that is Jennifer. There'll be weeping and wailing tonight for sure. The good thing is it will make the pompus lot (Bex, Jen, Dale, Stuart and Luke) reflect on what is popular behaviour and what is not. Sylvia was very much part of their group and they were almost certain it would be Mo evicted. Their shock was palpable. And enjoyable.

Dennis has been removed from the house and the hms have just been told (2pm Friday).

The hms were just called to the sofas and Mario read a card given by BB. Sound was cut but it seems the card announced to the hms that Dennis has been removed from the house following last night's fighting. Jen is weeping like she's just lost her best friend (she's known him, what? 17 days? - maybe she's feeling a bit of rightly deserved guilt for her part in the whole thing. Or maybe not.

Mario has assured Mo he'll 'watch his back.'. And we the viewers are assured this will indeed be the case ~ especially as Mario is wearing his army fatigue underpants.

Dennis is removed from the Big Brother House for unacceptable behaviour...
Housemate Dennis McHugh has been removed from the Big Brother House for unacceptable behaviour.
A number of housemates were involved in an argument at approximately 12.45am this morning (27th June), which resulted from a prank played by Rex that ended in a picture painted by Jennifer being slightly defaced.
During the argument Dennis spat in the face of fellow housemate, Mohamed.
Big Brother intervened immediately to break up the argument. The 'as live' streaming from the house on E4 was cut and no footage was broadcast.
All the housemates involved in the argument were sent to separate bedrooms and kept apart for the rest of the night. Dennis and Mohamed were called separately to the diary room in the early hours to discuss the incident.
After production staff and executives at Channel 4 reviewed the footage this morning, Dennis was called to the diary room a second time at 1:15pm and told he was immediately being removed from the house.
Following Dennis's removal, Big Brother continues to call to the diary room a number of other housemates to discuss their involvement in the argument and remind them of the rules governing housemates' behaviour.
A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "Spitting in someone's face is seriously offensive and Mohamed was understandably upset. Big Brother has very clear rules about offensive behaviour. Like all housemates Dennis was clearly informed before entering the house that he faced eviction if he acted in an unacceptable manner."

Facing the public vote this week are Sylvia and Mo.

I think Sylvia will probably be the one voted out. This girl is so beautiful but she has a really strange side to her. I'm not sure if she is just nasty or a bit crazy. She seems to delight in flitting around the house causing trouble. Some would say she should stay to stir things up but I'm not sure if I want to watch and listen to her carry on for another week.

Mo on the other hand is coming out of himself more. He seems like a really nice guy and may survive the vote. I hope so.

Big Brother minx Sylvia Barrie has been acting out a lie to hide a saucy secret – she and new boy Stuart Pilkington were a couple BEFORE the show started.

And now we can reveal that south London girl Sylvia has simply been trying to rekindle the romance she enjoyed with the Cheshire fitness trainer when they met weeks before BB9 even started.

“Stu and Sylvia were explosive. They had a full-on fling and ended up kissing passionately.

“Viewers must think Sylvia is a lunatic, the way she’s stalking him. But you can’t blame her for thinking they were going to pick up where they left off.”

But a BB spokesperson said: “Following Stuart’s entrance, Big Brother informed viewers, via voiceover, that Sylvia and Stuart had met. There is no romantic history between them.”

So, is BB's leaking of this info on the morning of the eviction their attempt to save Sylvia? BB corrupt the vote? Could that happen?

Dennis reflects on the fight

Thursday night 26th/Friday morning 27th June 2008

So, BB9 has had their Fight Night. Live transmission was quickly whipped off the air when a fight blew up between the partying hms.

It seems that Rex accidentally damaged the painting Jen had done of Stuart and that ignigted the embers of resentment that have been building up against Rex in the house.

Once live transmission came on again around 2.10am, most of the hms were divided into separate bedrooms with Lisa and Dennis outside at the ashtray speaking. In the luxury bedroom there was Rachel, Kat, Jen, Dale, Stuart, Sylvia, Luke (spoutting inanities as per), and Mikey.

In the other bedroom were Darnell, Rex, Mo, and (surprisingly) Mario. After a few minutes Dennis and Lisa entered the luxury room where Dennis was treated like a returning conqueror, lots of tears and hugging and worries about whether he would be removed from the house.

From what I can gather, Jen was angry about the painting, others got involved in the argument, even though it seems Rex had apologised to Jen. The argument seems to have been mainly between Dennis, Rex, Mo, and Darnell. Dennis ended up spitting in Mo's face! Not a good move ~ and worse, it's legally an assault on a person which could see Dennis removed from the house.

LIVE FEED NOW - from 2.20am

BB announces to the house shortly after live feed returns: would all housemates remain in their respective bedrooms for the remainder of the night. And Mo is called to the Diary Room.

Lisa is the queen of sensibility in the luxury bedroom, pouring oil on troubled waters while Luke chirrups constantly about what will happen, what the guys in the other bedroom are talking about and on and on and on ... oh, and she's Dennis' nbf.

Meanwhile, in the second bedroom Mario is saying what a nasty piece of work he thinks Dennis is. Wonder how the Lisa & Mario show will come together on this?

And as I leave livefeed: Dennis is lying dramatically draped over his bed clutching Bex's teddy, sporting green tartan shorts, lime green tshirt, peach headscraf wrapped around his aching 'heeed' (he has a migraine apparently and feels like his brain is being pulled through his nose). Dramatic? Dennis?

And in the second bedroom, while discussions on the fight continue (and Darnell is now called to the Diary Room), that hulk of a man, the facilitator, Mario is snoring like a train. What a guy!

The highlights show tomorrow night (Friday) will be even more interesting than the live eviction me thinks! Who goes? Who flipping cares - let's just watch fight night! Oh, and watch out for a drunken Bex falling headlong into the rhubarb patch.

A Big Brother spokeswoman said: "Around 12.45am a verbal argument took place between a number of housemates. During that argument Dennis allegedly spat at Mohamed." She added:"Big Brother immediately intervened and separated the housemates into their bedrooms, where they will remain until the morning. Big Brother is currently talking to each of the housemates individually and reviewing the situation before deciding if any appropriate action is required."

Insider info says the new hm entering on tonight's live show is male. I would have thought another female might have been better. Hopefully it's a total alpha male who will put Mario very firmly in his place.

The inside is correct as usual ~ the new hm is a male.

His name is Stuart, a property developer/personal trainer from Manchester.

Most of the ladies of the house are DELIGHTED to see him. Including Jen who is positively overjoyed. The look on Dale's face tells us that he, on the other hand, is far from happy with this new guy. Could Stuart steal Jen from Dale? We'll have to wait and see!

Alex has been removed from the house for her continual aggressive behaviour.

Contestant Alexandra De-Gale has been removed from the Big Brother House for repeatedly breaking the programme's rules on conduct by behaving in an unacceptable and sometimes intimidating manner towards fellow housemates.

Alex was in discussion with Darnell in the living room shortly after 10.15pm yesterday evening (17th June), with a number of other housemates in proximity. Discussing her nomination for this week's eviction, Alex was heard to make apparently intimidatory comments about her intentions on leaving the House. Shortly afterwards, Dennis, Rebecca and Rex discussed her comments in the garden and were clear that they found her behaviour to be threatening, a view that Rex repeated subsequently during a Diary Room discussion with Big Brother.

This incident follows a series of arguments involving Alex since the ninth series of Big Brother started on 5th June. She has twice been called to the diary room and reminded of the rules governing behaviour towards other housemates.

There has been a strong negative reaction from viewers to Alex's behaviour with Channel 4 having received a significant number of comments since launch.

Her latest remarks were not screened via the 'as live' streaming on E4 but were reported up to senior production staff. In consultation with executives at Channel 4 the decision was taken to remove Alex from the house on the grounds that she had repeatedly broken the programme's rules governing housemate behaviour, despite twice being reminded of her responsibilities.

Alex was called to the Diary Room at approximately 8pm on Wednesday 18th June to be informed of the decision and was removed from the House without further contact with other contestants. The remaining housemates were informed of Big Brother's decision at approximately 9.15pm.

Alex was one of two housemates nominated for eviction this week and as a result, in line with the terms and conditions covering phone voting on Big Brother, the latest eviction vote has been suspended.

Angela Jain, Head of E4 and Big Brother at Channel 4, said: "Alex has said her comments were not intended seriously and has apologised, but those comments will be widely interpreted as having been intended to intimidate. Big Brother has very clear rules about housemates conduct and that kind of behaviour is simply not acceptable.

Other housemates have said they found her comments to be threatening and we believe that is a reasonable conclusion for them to have reached given the way Alex has behaved previously. She had already been spoken to twice about her behaviour and, like all housemates, was clearly informed before entering the house that she faced eviction if she acted in an unacceptable manner."

BUM! Mario escapes eviction yet again. Still, I will enjoy watching his love affair with himselves for another week. Probably.

Who will go?

While I can't stand the toffee coloured, bull necked Mario, I hope he stays and we sacrifice Alex on the alter of 'Give Him More Rope'. His attitude since finding out he was to face the public vote, and therefore having received the most nominations along with Alex from his fellow hms, he has been arrogant to the point of it now becoming comedy.

He really believes his 'fanbase' (delusions, Mario, your fanbase consists of about 3 people) will save him. What the fool does not realise is that if he is saved, which I predict he will be, so huge is the public hatred of Alex, then he will be sure that it is because he is so popular and not that it was simply that Alex was disliked even more than him.

And the vote will probably be a very tight margin of Alex over toffeeman ~ but of course he won't know that. Evil smiles all around.

Who Nominated Whom? (Monday 16 June 2008)

Alex first nominates Rex: “We’ve had so many disagreements. He really rubs me up the wrong way a lot of the time. I find him very patronising”. Her second nomination is Dennis. “I’ve recently seen a different side to him – walking round the house, stirring up trouble. I don’t think I can trust him anymore… he’s a poo poo stirrer in my eyes.

Dale then nominated Mario and Alex giving the following reasons: For Mario, he says, “He’s patronising – he thinks he’s the dad and we are the kids”. Regarding Alex he says, “She’s trying to be nice so she won’t be up for nomination. I think she’s playing a game.”

Darnell nominates Mario and Lisa.

Next is Dennis, His first nomination is Mario and his second is Alex. About Alex he says, “I’ve not been able to have relationships with other housemates as she’s so forced with her opinion.”

Jennifer votes for Mario: “I don’t like the way he acts like my dad”, and Lisa: “She stares at me a lot. Because she’s with Mario, she isolates herself from the rest of the group.”

Next up is Kat. After much deliberation she nominates Alex: “A lot of the time she gives off negative energy”, and then Sylvia: “She always agrees with Alex.”

Lisa first nominates Jennifer. She says, “I feel like she pretends I’m not there. Maybe she’s jealous or finds me a threat.” Her second nomination is Sylvia. Her reason being, “Whatever the time is, she doesn’t care and constantly makes noise. It’s so selfish.”

Next to nominate is Luke. He chooses Mohamed and Mario. Regarding Mohamed he says, “I’m absolutely famished and he’s devouring everything in the kitchen. It’s getting beyond a joke… he needs to understand the word RATION.”

Mario nominates Sylvia. He says, “She doesn’t involve herself with the group and she constantly moans. I’ve never seen her in the kitchen getting her hands dirty. She just cares about her looks”. Next he nominates Dennis, saying, “He’s two-faced and playing a massive game.”

Next up is Mikey. He first nominates Alex, “She’s been nicey nicey over the past few days and it doesn’t fool me.” His second nomination is for Dennis. “I wasn’t sure till last night, but when he stood up and called that big meeting I thought ‘what was that all about?’. Dennis is the biggest bitch in the house!”

Mohamed nominates Alex and Dennis.

Rachel nominates Alex and Sylvia.

Rebecca nominates Alex and Darnell.

Rex first picks Alex. “Her behaviour is very manipulative. I don’t want to see people crying in the house.” His second choice is Mario, one of his reasons being, “He was very horrible to Stephanie.”

Last to make nominations is Sylvia. Her first person is Alex. “I feel she is a very argumentative and manipulative character. She’s had more arguments than anyone else in the house. I think Alex would like to get Rex and Mohamed out as they are her biggest threats.” Her next choice is Mario. “He comes across as trying to take charge and control. I don’t need to be told how to act, behave, what to think or what to feel.”

It seems that it is MARIO and ALEX facing the public vote but our insider is not actually at work today so can't confirm 100%. Maybe our other insider will come forward to either confirm or deny it's Mario and Alex. I'll keep you updated if any more news comes in.

The other BB insider has just confirmed that it is indeed Alex & Mario (Alex received 2 more nominations than Mario) who will face the public vote. Can't wait to see Mario's face when he hears he is received the most votes along with Alex.

Our BB insider also reports that Sylvia & Dennis got the joint highest votes after Mario & Alex. Next was Lisa. All the rest received either one vote or none.

So 11 days into BB9 we have the first round of nominations. I have tried to work out who will vote for whom and while some are easy enough to predict (Mario nominating Dennis and Rex), some of the others have been quite hard to try and predict, Rachel for one.

On the subject of nominations why, every single year do the hms make such a drama out of the nomination process? They are well aware that nominating each week is part of the process and they know they will have to nominate 2 hms, so I just wish they'd get on with it and stop the fuss!
I'm looking forward to seeing the actual nominations, probably on BBLB tomorrow evening if they keep it the same as previous years. BUT there is a chance I will be able reveal the actual nominations a few hours before they are publicised ~ if I can find that insider! Check here after 5pm tomorrow if you want first news!

I enjoyed watching Darnell and Kat in the diary room trying to entertain BB by performing their rap. Darnell did the rapping, Kat supplied the dancing and sound effects and the dancing.

Across the net almost EVERYONE wanted Mario gone. And he was the bookies favourite to go.

But Steph is voted out.

This was a total fix.

And here's the evidence:

NO-ONE either in the UK or Ireland could vote to evict Mario after around 9.30 despite Davina repeatedly giving out the numbers to vote on.

My calls from that time were answered with the message 'lines have now closed' - remember Davina repeatedly after that gave out the numbers. And continued to do so. UK people too were being told lines were closed.

What is it? Are some 'important' media people making very large bets on the person going? Is this like insider trading? YES. Of course it is. I really hope this blows up and hits some folk very, very hard in the face.

BB - Warning from the masses. You are shooting yourselves in the foot yet again!

Fans of BB who were at Elstree for the eviction on Friday are reporting that the crowd there was totally shocked when it was announced Steph was being evicted. They, like most of the rest of us, were SURE it would be Mario. Is this why, for the first time ever, Davina spoke to the house to announce who was being evicted, away from the crowd?

The Daily Star has reported:
Fans have also flooded Channel 4 with complaints that they tried to dial up on Friday and vote to evict Mario but could not get through. An upset Steph said: “I am still wondering why the public booted me out and kept him in. “It would be unfair on me if a technical fault caused my eviction. I feel robbed anyway.”
